First Encounter withWebsite Creation
In this course, we have to create a website to record our learning process. At the same time, it is also my first time creating a website using WIX, so this is a challenging task for me.

Overcoming Initial Challenges
During the website creation process, I felt nervous at first because I was not familiar with the page settings and functions. I had trouble understanding how to add subpages under projects page. However, after following the tutorial from our teaching assistant Jenny’s PPT, I found that it was not as difficult as I had imagined. Step by step, I learned how to upload images, and adjust design elements.
Now, my biggest challenge is making my page design look more professional and unique. I have watched tutorials on YouTube and Xiaohongshu, and the designs there are all very beautiful. Many creators share their website design tips, but I think it’s different from what I want to create. Because the most important thing for me is to think like a teacher and create a website that introduces myself to students. In order to make my students know me better, I will keep my page design simple and clear. In this way, I believe the viewers that scrolls my website can easily understand my ideas instead of feeling overwhelmed by too many designed elements.

Discovering the Value of Personal Branding
Through this process, I also realized the importance of personal branding. The choice of colors and style can influence the audience’s experience, affecting their impression on myself. Additionally, I have gained experience in creating a website in English, which I believe will be useful in many fields. For example, in teaching, I can create a website to introduce my educational background and personality so that my students are able to know me better. Moreover, I can also use the website to organize and present learning materials, making it easier for students to understand and letting them to review it online at home.

Reflections and Future Goals
Overall, creating an e-portfolio has been a valuable learning experience. Although there were challenges, I improved my technical skills and creativity. I also gained a deeper understanding of how to present myself online. In the future, I hope to continue developing my website and exploring new ways to use this skill in my studies and career.
